I-20 is Atlanta's primary east-west interstate corridor, running from the Alabama state line through Douglas County, across the I-285 west perimeter, through Downtown Atlanta, across the I-285 east perimeter, through DeKalb County, and east toward Rockdale County and Columbia, South Carolina. The Metro Atlanta segment carries over 120,000 vehicles per day, connecting West Atlanta neighborhoods, Downtown, and the rapidly growing eastern suburbs in a continuous traffic flow that generates constant breakdown calls.

Downtown Atlanta is where I-20 converges with I-75 and I-85 — the same Downtown Connector that makes midtown and downtown Atlanta some of the most breakdown-intensive highway environments in the Southeast.
